Most settlements had a headquarters building where elected officials saw to the problems of the settlers. Here, the court records, surveys and land grants were kept and guarded for future generations. This structure has served historically as a research library in headquarters for the Heritage Staff. Most recently it has used as a classroom as well as a colonial toys interactive play area for our guests.
